Hiroshi Nakata | Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder
Nakata is the CEO of Bellrock Media and President of Bellrock Media Japan. In addition, Nakata is the Chief Financial Officer & Chief Strategy Officer, Corporate & Financial Strategy for Yoshimoto-Kogyo Co., Ltd. Nakata played a leading role in establishing new businesses for Yoshimoto-Kogyo using new media and platforms, including Fandango, Inc., casTY, and Bellrock Media. Nakata was previously with The Long Term Credit Bank of Japan, in charge of M&A operations for the entertainment industry. MBA from Thunderbird, The Garvin School of International Management, CPA.
Carolynne Schloeder | Chief Operating Officer
Carolynne Schloeder oversees Bellrock Media’s operations, including all aspects of its mobile content business. Her background includes deep experience in analytical marketing, digital music and wireless services. Schloeder was a pioneer in mobile entertainment. She co-founded Moderati, formerly Faith West, as a subsidiary of the Japanese company Faith Inc. Under her direction, Moderati has emerged as a top-tier aggregator and provider of mobile personalization content, both under its own Modtones brand and through carrier-branded services. Schloeder was instrumental in inking early carrier distribution deals; the company now serves content on-deck to customers of 14 U.S. wireless carriers. She oversees all functions of the firm’s mobile content operations including business development, marketing and engineering. With her leadership, the company is innovating new forms of mobile social entertainment through products like Mobile Faker. Prior to establishing Moderati in 2002, Schloeder held positions at Listen.com, Visto and SkyTel. Schloeder holds a bachelor's degree from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Cindy Lundin Mesaros | Senior VP, Marketing
Cindy Lundin Mesaros is responsible for Bellrock Media’s marketing strategy, planning and activities, including branding, product management, content production, public relations and promotions. At Moderati, Mesaros created the identity for the Modtones polyphonic ringtone services, launched in the summer of 2002, as well as the Moderati corporate identity in 2005. She also conceived and directed the launch of Mobile Faker, Moderati’s newest social entertainment service. Mesaros previously directed branding, advertising, promotions and public relations for online music provider Listen.com, solidifying awareness with their target market of young music fans and striking partnerships with independent record labels. As the first employee of Internet recruiting start-up Career Central, Mesaros created the company's identity, built promotional partnerships with 50 business schools and an enrolled base of 35,000 MBA job candidates. Mesaros’ background includes stints in sports and non-profit marketing. Mesaros holds a B.S. in business administration from U.C. Berkeley and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern.
Aki Yorihiro | Senior VP, Corporate Development and General Counsel
Aki Yorihiro heads all corporate development and legal matters at Bellrock Media. Bilingual and bicultural, he handles all business operations within our US and Asian markets bridging East and West. Prior to Bellrock, Yorihiro was a Corporate and M&A Partner at the international law firm Bingham McCutchen LLP where he represented U.S. and foreign Fortune 500 companies on a variety of transactions, many of which were cross-border. Yorihiro was the U.S. outside counsel for Yoshimoto Kogyo, one of Bellrock’s strategic investors, in sports and entertainment transactions. Yorihiro has been the outside general counsel to Bellrock Media since inception, joining the team in February 2006.
